    As the Autumn Equinox approaches, we will again experience the trees shedding their leaves. Just as the other plants have given their all to release seeds that will lie in the earth until springtime, this annual release of leaves is an act of dismemberment for the purpose of future growth.
    As we experience our human culture trying to hold onto what is outmoded and contrary to life’s fullness, we have the opportunity to follow nature’s guidance and “shed our skins” while simultaneously beginning the process of “planting” our own inevitable springtime. Planting seeds in ourselves to support what we wish to see flower, not just this month, but as we go forward in our lives.
